June 26-29, 9:00am-1:30pm: Eat Your Way Around the World!

Ages 7-10

Campers will learn how to prepare delicious meals from scratch, inspired by foods from cultures around the world. Topics covered will include knife skills, kitchen and food safety and cleanliness, measurements, how to read a recipe and international cooking techniques.

Monday and Tuesday will take place at the Ashland Co-op classroom, and Wednesday and Thursday will be at The Farm at SOU. Drop off and pick up will be at the location of the camp that day. Lunch will be provided, prepared hands-on by the campers!


July 10-13, 9:00am-1:30pm: Farm to fork challenge!

Ages 9-12

This week of food fun will focus on learning how to create staple meals from scratch using farm-fresh ingredients. Campers will get to challenge themselves to come up with creative and tasty dishes with selected farm fresh ingredients, in a fun food show format. They’ll be out in the field on the farm days picking what is ripe to add to their custom specialties.

Cooking is a fantastic way for kids to learn independence, motor skills, following directions, healthy eating habits - and the universal joy of sharing and eating food!
