Rogue Valley Farm to School is the Regional Hub for Education and Procurement in Southern Oregon.

We work closely with three school districts across the Rogue Valley, serving thousands of children every year. Volunteers help us fulfill and expand our mission by sharing their time, energy, and skills on the farm, in the garden, and beyond.

We have a range of opportunities for varied schedules, interests, and skill sets. Learn more about our volunteer positions below, then complete our Volunteer Registration Form!

Cafeteria Programs

You can support the inclusion of local food in school meals by volunteering to help cafeteria staff prepare fresh fruits and vegetables. Volunteers can also support serving local lunches or Tasting Table features to students, as well as capturing photos of the innovative use of locally-sourced/school garden-grown items in school lunches.

Farm and Garden Programs

Join students on Harvest Meal field trips to working farms as a guest educator or on the outdoor kitchen crew helping to prepare a farm-fresh lunch. Volunteers can also support garden-based learning as a guest educator or through maintenance work parties.

Leadership

Be a behind-the-scenes hero by volunteering in the RVF2S office supporting data entry and analysis; research; and administration. If you enjoy sharing your passions with others, join our team as an outreach ambassador. We also offer internships that allow you to gain experience in all aspects of the farm to school movement.

Events

We host community events and fundraisers throughout the year. Volunteer support actualizes these critical events for the organization through set-up/break-down, food preparation, photography, children’s activities and more.

Siskiyou Challenge

A six-leg multi-sport event and our biggest annual fundraiser of the year! We're in need of volunteers for many aspects of the race, before, during, and after. This event is separate from the September training and takes place on the last Saturday of April.

Thank you for your interest! If you have a specific question, or a special skill or knowledge that you’d like to share, please contact our Outreach Coordinator.
