Happy Spring, all! April is here! We’re back from spring break and are excited to dive into one of our busiest seasons. This month, Harvest Meals begin, our annual procurement gathering takes place, and garden educators stay busy in the gardens with their students. Fairer weather means more time out in the gardens – and there’s plenty to do!

Our partner classes in Central Point, Phoenix, and Talent who participate in our Digging Deeper School Partnership Program will be visiting the farm for their second Harvest Meal of the year!

Did you know that we also offer field trips for homeschool groups, preschools, and K-5 classes? Sign your group up for a 1.5 hour Spring Exploration field trip! Your class will have the opportunity to explore the farm with their five senses, sample organic vegetables, and discover what is happening on the farm in the spring. Spring Procurement Gathering 2025!

Join us for our annual procurement gathering where we learn about what local producers are up to, troubleshoot, ask questions, and learn together. We’ll have lovely refreshments featuring local ingredients and will have plenty of opportunities to network and share ideas. Find more information and the link to RSVP here.

To celebrate March’s Harvest of the Month, garden classes learned about microgreens and planted some of their own! We used broccoli and radish seeds for quick sprouts. Some classes harvested their greens in class while others took their pots home to show to their families.

April’s Harvest of the Month focuses on spring greens, which we’re highlighting with a homemade pesto.
